Would you be surprised if any of these teams won the NBA Finals?

Atlanta, Washington, Toronto, Chicago, Milwaukee, Cleveland

Golden State, Portland, Memphis, houston, Dallas, LA, San Antonio, OKC

I can think of only 2 or 3 that would truly surprise me. It's pretty rare to be this far along into the season and have the league this wide open.

Either Chicago or Atlanta is winning the East.

I could see any of the West teams probably. Maybe not Portland or LA.

A little bit because they haven't been tested as a team like that but they're really good so I wouldn't lose my mind.

Only Atlanta and Chicago and (maybe) Cleveland are realistic title contenders from the East

Only Golden State, Memphis, San Antonio, and OKC are legit contenders from the West. LAC are mortally flawed, Dallas and Houston aren't deep enough to get through 3 rounds plus a Finals IMO.

I would be shocked if Washington, Toronto, Milwaukee ( ), Portland, Houston, or LA won the title this season.

It does feel like more teams can win it this year. That's a good thing. Dynasties are good for the NBA but every few seasons I think you need one or two where about 6 or 7 teams have a shot.

Agree with your list except for Dallas. They would not surprise me one bit,

They are a matchup nightmare.

Look. Houston is a flawed team. But depth is definitely not a problem. And even though Houston has awesome depth, that is a very overrated thing when the playoffs start. Most teams trim down to 7 man rotations.

This. I absolutely cannot wait. The West first round is going to be so tense. Lots of teams with great seasons fighting their asses off to stay alive.

Wouldn't shock me: Chicago, wash, or Cleveland in east

Golden State, OKC, Houston, Portland , Dallas or LAC in rather wide open west

As a Warriors fan it is so odd to see us actually appear in threads like this. What a year they are having.

Yeah, Elmer Dessens said the Rockets can beat anyone in the league when they're on.
