How many years do pleated pants add to a man's age?

let's say I'm 33, if I put on pleats, do I look 53?

If you're under 40 it's frowned upon. That said, it's an overstated thing. If you're at least in your 30s, a nice suit that happens to be pleated will not look weird to anyone. I'd rather be seen in a high quality suit with pleats than a Kenneth Cole suit without.

I have some very nice suits with pleated and cuffed trousers. I have no square-toe dress shoes though.

Square toe dress shoes were an urban/metro phenomenon adopted by a bunch of shitty makers. Pleats, for their drawbacks, are still a pretty classic form of American business dress.

I've got some. I only buy dress shirts with button down collars and long sleeves.
