Would you buy this car?

Continuation of a thread I started last week. To clarify, I'm not a collector and am a complete novice when it comes to classic cars. This car would be used practically, as a work car. I am aware that the car is a clone. It was built from a 1968 Pontiac Tempest according to the VIN. So, thoughts?

Purple car with blue interior with a white top.
Pass, with extreme prejudice.

If I'm getting a GTO, it'll be a '66.

No, not my style but wouldn't hold it against anyone else if they brought it.

I'm not against a clone in general, especially if its disclosed. A clone would actually be perfect for you, considering your intended use.
That just feels like it would be a rough car.

but seriously, would not buy anything without driving it first....convertibles are ok for 3-4 weeks out of the year, cold in the winter, and hot in the summer....but if you like it,buy it.at least they are honest about the clone deal.

Let's just say that color scheme isn't an issue (I love purple), what do you think of the price? Could I get them to come down, y'think?

That seems rather high for something that actually isn't a GTO. I'd probably pay 9 or 10k for it, definitely not 15k. They're probably selling this to break even.

My father had a black 6.6L with red interior when I was growing up. Holy frick that thing sounded mean.

Tell them to replace the blue interior with gold interior and add some gold racing stripes on it.
Then it would be worth it just to look cool sitting in traffic on game days.
