You assume that Quinn, a man with 21 years of coaching experience, is going to trust the DC position at his 1st HC job in the NFL to a guy he worked with for ONE season 8 years ago?

I think this would be a move that Smart has to make at some point. I'm not sure that this particular job is the right fit and wouldn't he be going to a place where the HC would get all the credit if the defense performed well much like at Bama?

Well he's a DC himself, so I assume Kirby would be in a similar situation he's in now, but in the pros.

I think he may need to make a move at some point, but I think the speculation that Quinn is going to give the DC job to a guy he worked with for one season is a bit of a stretch. Most fans simply HOPE it will happen as a way to A) potentially weaken Bama recruiting, B) potentially weaken Bama's staff, and C) troll Bama fans and watch what they hope will be a melt.

Also, the guy saying this is the same guy who got fired years ago for mocking former Saint Gleason.
Fired for mocking Gleason - admits was wrong

and not for nothing, but i know for a fact as recently as 2013 that Kirby thought the Bama job was his as soon as Saban retires which, at that time, Kirby expected to be at end of 2017 season. he may no longer feel that way or he may just be tired of waiting...or, this speculation is all wrong and everything is everything.

He's also the one that got Arthur hot under the collar a couple weeks ago during the press conference announcing Mike Smith's firing. And he's also the same one that has had multiple run-ins with John Rocker, to the point Rocker is liable to kill the dude at some point. He's a fricking troll with no inside sources. Steak Shapiro is the worrrrrrrrrst. He basically spends his free time acting like he knows sports while his real job is eating food at every restaurant in the city for his blog tv show.

All the real chatter is that Quin is bringing a DC from Seattle. Lots of people think its Ken Norton Jr.

I was thinking Travis Jones since he was with Quinn in Miami also. Just wonder if his past transgressions would keep that from happening.

Every list I've seen has either said Jones or Norton. C&C noted a source on Norton yesterday, but most of the others I have read say Jones. Either way, it ain't Muschamp or Kirby.

Damn I hate Steak Shapiro and his little carpetbagger crew.
