Go see Carson at Bowie's. He mentioned having a few 35 Whelan Nandi-rifles in stock a few days ago. He posts here and seems to be a good dude if you don't mind buying a gun from a fella that owns a gargantuan poodle.

I would say that Academy has the lowest prices. Anything particular you're looking for? Primitive weapon means pretty much anything these days.

Bought a CVA Elite Stalker.35 Whelen from Academy a few months ago for $250. Mounted a Vortez crossfire 4x12x44 scope. Very pleased with both and the setup only cost about $450.

I bought a handi 444 last year from Dick's for just over $200.
Not sure if the 35's were the same price or not.
Best peice I've seen them for.

Probably the most popular for primitive weapon now is the 35 Whelen. It's a bad mother. If I were to buy one now, that's what I would go with. And depending on your budget I would go with a handi rifle on the cheap side or a TC Encore on the higher side. I think handi rifles are about $300 and Encores are probably around $700. Then I would go with an optic you like in your price range in 3-9x40. You get the most bang for your buck in that size.

Seems to be a pretentious douche with outlandish opinions. But i dont put much stock in that since this is an internet forum where people say things just to get a reaction with no consequences.
