I get that hanging is easier on your back but are they MORE effective than lying or are both equal?

Would it hurt to just do both?

Im no expert. I'm just basing it on experience hanging feels harder on my core. I still do both.

Important thing on hanging is to make sure not to swing, obviously

Bench press, bicep curls, and squats are the only acceptable exercises in a gym.

Hanging for higher reps. 20-25)

Dragon flys for reps of 10-15 with a good pause at the "toes to heaven" part of the rep.
