I agree. I respect all 4 people, if this turns out solid I'll definitely move Adam McKay into legendary status, especially considering Bale is universally considered a douchebag to work with.

I'd like to see Bale in a less "serious" role, he's really kind of worked himself into a corner as a surly a-hole.

It makes some sense. McKay is pretty interested in this topic (see the closing credits and general theme of The Other Guys). It seems like a good movie for him to step out and try something different.

I simply do not trust Hollywood to treat the material correctly. They will probably do their darnedest to excuse the huge role the government played in the credit crisis - the dominate role, in fact.

The Big Short does not suggest that the government played the dominant role in tbe credit crisis. If the movie did this, they would be dishonest to the source material

How about you wait for the movie (or at the least, the preview) before going out of your way to insist that they are telling the story wrong.
