I hate internet reviews and I'm hoping for the good ol' OT YOU SUCK IF YOU BUY THIS comments.

Just to get a feel for the market if nothing else. My last one was a Kenmore and its been fine.

Any thoughts? I know its early in the process

TIA

Your best bet will be to go to Bestbuy.com or Amazon and check out the reviews.

With $2K to spend, you should be able to get whatever you're looking for.

Have you bought a fridge recently? You're closer to 3k if you want stainless and water/ice dispenser on the door.

i dont know what a good price is these days..thats just my budget. if i can get one for half that i'll be happy

requirements
- stainless (to match)
- water & ice on door (my current one has a button to measure the amt of water which i love when making recipes so that too)
- it gets cold

$2k budget....at that price point they are all basically the same

Maytag, Kenmore, Whirlpool...all the same.

just need to decide whether you like the side by side or french door

I prefer french door because they are wider

I got an LG french door with the drawer freezer on the bottom. I like it. It was around $2000. not sure exactly.

ETA: my favorite feature is the chime that reminds you to close the door. Bust my kids and wife constantly who leave the door open.

Same here. We're going to need a new one at some point, and my wife wants one of the french door top and freezer drawer bottom models. We really need more usable freezer space since our current side by side (came with the house, should have brought the monster I bought for our townhouse with us) is very skinny as far as width. We have to take some frozen items out of their box to get it to fit in there.

My solution is buy a cheap deep freeze and put it in the basement for storage, and maybe move up a few items at a time when the main fridge/freezer has space. She'd rather have the fancy french doors.

Try to buy a fridge that'll leave you money left off to buy a separate freezer for all the shite you won't have room for down the road.

Go to the Sears outlet and get you one with a slight ding in it for a $800 savings or some shite. I have bought several there for rentals and flips.

We have the same one. My only bitch is the ice dispenser opening is too small for anything bigger than a Rotolos cup.
