I feel like I'm reapplying to college with this mail in ticket request.
Posted on 1/19/15 at 4:50 pm to ThePenIsMightier
this mail order shite is ridiculously complicated. i'm ordering one ga ticket for each night. and just to do that I need to have 6 money orders. -- i think.

No you only need one money order for each night if you are going for only one price level. Not that it matters. It seems everyone is going for GA only and we will likely all get shut out.
Except for me I am totes gonna get picked

As long as you're not under an overhang it's bearable. Not great by any means tho.

How many people in this thread actually saw Jerry?

saw him with the dead about 70 or so times. another dozen or so with JGB.
You must be really fricking old, dude...

I saw them at soldier field in 91. It was fine sound- not the best, but Ok. The dead pretty much sucked by then really though.

90 & 91 were extremely solid years, actually some of the best when bruce played with them.

I wouldnt expect quality sound from a stadium.
Posted on 1/20/15 at 1:24 pm to rutiger
i saw most every show in late 89-and all of 90 except after Vince's first shows. I didn't like the setup post Brent. I did like Bruce with them though.
late 89 and up until july 23rd 1990 was straight fire.
after that, I was meh

You wouldn't expect that great sound in a stadium but sometimes they'd pull it off well. probably better than almost any other band out there.

Right on.
Im jealous of old folks, i wasnt able to see my first show until 93.
Nye 90 with bruce and brandford is fiya though.
I feel ya on the vince era, and its indicitive that the band feels the same that vince has never been involved in any post jerry band.

I was lucky enough to have responsible dead heads for parents who took me to some shows when I was a youngster...Not too young...I was lucky enough to see the GD over 100 times. Even after all these years I still have to remind myself Jerry is gone some mornings.

I was too young to see Jerry. I have seen Phil+Friends a few times and Ratdog. Never saw Furthur.

Grateful Dead + Hornsby and Anastasio in Chicago
or maybe it has to do with this:
dead
I honestly forgot he was gone, but he still was never part of anything they did post garcia.
My dad took me to my first show at giants stadium in 93, sting opened. Ill never forget the moment i "got it". 2nd set opened with bertha->good loving. It was like the scene out of blues brother at james brown's church, " I SEE THE LIGHT!" I can just remember looking around and just feeling the energy radiate out of the stadium, and i was sober at this point. Ive killed a lot of memories in my day with drugs and alcohol, but i can still picture this like it was yesterday. it changed my life forever and i consider it a religious moment.

Giants Stadium was always a trip!
This was my first time in NYC for a show- I had such a blast. Southern, 17 and alone with 2 friends in Philly and NYC.

In 89? That mustve been a trip.
Giants stadium was always cool, but seeing them at msg was SO amazing.
The energy in that building even in 94 was through the roof.
