re: Recruiting Trail Updates

Nah man we are loaded at the position and next year is also loaded with talent we good. that's what everyone is saying about DT position IMO one of THE most crucial positions in our defense.



We better pull some DEs and backers this class or we will have to move a safety or 2 out of position unless we hit a few homeruns next year @ each position. We should add front 7 guys every year 3 @ each position if possible, like we do in our secondary and let the guys that don't cut it transfer as needed.

He's more of a "long shot" than done with us. Anything can happen.

I think we have a strong finish guys. I feel ED and Steele have what it takes.

For those who have followed recruiting for the last 10 years or so, help refresh my memory. Didn't LSU have a year in which something like Jamarcus Russell, Kirsten Pittman and maybe another highly rated recruit all visited the final weekend and all of them signed with the Tigers?

Perhaps something like that will happen again this time around.

Talk about major drama. The final weekend of that recruiting year was unbelievable.

Miami had a group of about 5 or 6 Louisiana recruits in for the final weekend. Among those recruits were: 1). LaRon Landry, 2). Craig Davis, 3). Dominic Cooper. 4). Darryl Johnson and a couple of others.

On Sunday afternoon Miami started releasing the news bulletins that Craig Davis and Darryl Johnson had committed and felt like Laron Landry would commit to Miami. Talk about a sick feeling. Dominic Cooper, however, did not commit.

Saban went into emotional overdrive. On signing day, all four signed with LSU. Signing day was sweet.

JaMarcus Russell committed to LSU in those last days and Robert Lane de-committed and went to Ole Miss, but the gain of Russell greatly outweighed the loss of Lane. Flynn committed earlier in the process

i wonder how much free swag these recruits end up with after its all said n done....prob never wearing them again

Dwayne Bowe was the other. They were all at Studio 54 at Bogies. I thought Dwayne Bowe was the defensive end recruit because he was bigger than Pittman was.
