He may be homesick already about Nigeria. Is he going to want to now be homesick as well from his friends and host family back in Alabama? Just something that I think the Alabama schools could pitch to him. That he would be closer to his second home.

What does everyone else think ?

I am pretty sure he would prefer to be a Tiger rather than an Elephant

Thought it was a legitimate question / "concern".

Its always a concern, but sometimes you get them... We have a lot of out-of-state players on our team...

HOnestly, because of you 1 post, it sounded like a troll. If not, I apologize.

It isa big deal, but I mean that is the exact question that most kids deal with. Can we get this kid away from home state A?

Not a big deal, imo. Especially with a person who hasn't been in Alabama long. Those billboards the KKK are putting up in Birmingham probably aren't helping them either.

he is Auburn's to lose right now...if he is home sick, i feel confident in les alleviating that emotion. les is a goof but his best attribute is making people feel at home

Came to me that he is going to be away from home twice and that is a significantly harder sell than a regular out of state.

Hope LSU gets him though. He is a physical anomaly.

We got a built in advantage- John Odo.

Involve him in the recruiting process, let him know how well Nigerian athletes are treated at LSU and BOOM we shock the world and steal him out from under Nick.

Let's take Thorn Maker as an example. Kid came to Louisiana first now us off at an Academy playing ball. Do you think he comes to LSU because he misses Louisiana. I think he will go where he thinks will give him the best shot at the NBA. Point being the reason he came to the US has nothing to do with being home sick for Nigeria or Alabama until he reaches his goal of being a professional athlete and making Millions. That's what the class move up is about. 3 yrs and gone.

This is an opportunity of a life time for him and his family. He will gladly go to whoever shows the best path for him and his family.

Like ive said before as well, the kid loves basketball as well, so pitch him the idea of walking on and playing with Ben Simmons and Antonio Blakeney next year. We need another big man as well in Basketball. IMO its icing on the cake for this kid.
