If this happens, I'm curious what all wil come of it other than a "cleaner" bayou. Murder cold case leads, missing persons finally found, just a bunch of abandoned stolen cars....

In May Texas Equusearch pinpointed at least 127 cars and trucks that had found watery graves in Houston’s bayous.

Texas Equusearch founder, Tim Miller, believes the real number of cars in Houston’s waterway system could actually be substantially higher because his team only had the chance to do underwater sonar mapping in parts of Brays, Buffalo, and Sims bayous.

“You and I know both know there is going to be some bodies in some of these cars,” Miller told Local 2 in May 2014.

Although the bayous were there first, they are death traps. Same with retention ponds.

False....City of Houston has no jurisdiction over any Bayou. They are all HCFCD. Article says COH would support private group removing....

My friend with St Tammany Sheriff's Dept says there are at least 22 "cars with bodies removed from the water" in combined New Orleans, St Tammany and Tangipahoa Parrishes since Katrina that have similar enough circumstances that she doesn't think they ended up there accidentally. Just sayin....

Didn't mean to leave y'all hanging...was on my way back to TX today.

I'm not sure there's any way to post "bread crumbs" without causing a problem...

If local media prints/broadcasts something in the future that seems relevant theoretically at some point in the future, well... News stories get posted here all the time.
