As a LSU fan, really? He is not going anywhere, maybe get a raise though.

I'm still kinda curious why Cooper is a POS?

Rumor goes like this (in a nutshell): Claimed he was recruiting, billing out meals and whatnot, didn't recruit.

Also: offered schollies (allegedly) to players w/o clearing it with the RC/HC. There was a reason Spurrier demoted him and he's been in the wasteland despite being a superb position coach

Sounds like he shouldn't have left the NFL, where those aren't even possible issues, other than questionable morals. But there's always someone who loses enough to not care.

In this case? He's right.

He's an LSU alum from New Iberia. He's the DB coach at DBU. He has been a DB coach Indiana and Nebraska as well. The Miles and Saban deal it valid BUT why would he leave for the same position unless you're looking at big money? Saban is a DB guy and (I'm assuming here) will want a yes man at the position. Raymond has more freedom here.

Raymond at Bama would be scary.

why?

because they would actually get coached up well under Raymond.

This

We probably have the most talented DBs in the country, but they have never gotten the greatest coaching on an individual position-specific basis.

It's like what we saw this year with a competent QB coach in Kiffin. What he did with Sims was unbelievable.

If he can bring something to the table, yes. Haven't heard anything on this but Saban is always hush hush on his hires and doesn't let media or fans tell him who to hire.

"Never gotten the greatest coaching......"?? Who is the best DB coach in America, at least according to gumps? Are you actually knocking your god? From afar, it seems that this has been a problem for going on 2 yrs now. Why?

You simply cannot grasp the concept of someone not being enamored by Saban, can you? He is LSU's DB coach. He recruits his players. He teaches his players. It's totally his unit. He doesn't have to worry about a tight arse like Saban breathing down his neck, bird dogging him.
