Anyone ever done any elk hunting is eastern Kentucky or TN? Been reading about the success of the re-introduction programs in the states.

Apparently, the program is going so well in Kentucky that they stopped introducing new animals and are even taking animals out of their population to place in other states, like Wisconsin.

Seems like a great opportunity to hunt Elk without having to travel out west.

Its a lottery in TN only a handful of tags you can always poach one like some hillbillies do.

Do landowners have to have a drawn tag to kill on their own land in KY?

Out west is where it's at though.

I hear you, but imagine having one screaming down in a thick arse draw. You can hear him, close, but can't see him. It would literally be like hunting a 1000 pound turkey.
