Yes, afternoon hunts are def possible. If you don't shoot em good in the morning, you will be back in the field with them that evening. They scout round the clock and constantly have some young guns in the trucks trying to find the birds. Zach told me "we want our groups to shoot 100 birds every day!" They are very passionate and strive to put birds in your lap and on your stringer.

I would love to guide trips like that

I guess I feel a bit out of line for asking, but in the spirit of hunting, do you feel like you actually hunted? Do you get to call at all? Do the guides take care of everything and you just show up and shoot the birds? Obviously I know they put there hearts into scouting, decoying birds and showing their clients a good time, but as far as the overall experience, do you feel like you did anything? I mean no disrespect as I know yall had a great time and I know I would too, but the group I hunt with loves every aspect of hunting from scouting, setting spreads up, calling, shooting and cooking. I just wouldnt want to spend all that money to feel like something is missing.

If yall have an available spot I would like to go.
I am very much willing to drive and cook.

Yes, we were pretty involved the whole time minus the scouting. We helped pick up and put out all spreads, blew goose calls, waved flags, worked our dogs and retrieved cripples on our own. You can get as involved as you please, or you can just show up and shoot. It's all up to you as a hunter, and when I left KS after our last hunt, it felt very rewarding and just the same as leaving the rice fields in south LA

I was thinking the same thing. Is there much land in Kansas that is open to the public, other than private land in which I'm sure they lease. Would love to got to places like that, Kansas, and just drive around and find geese. Ask the farmer if we could hunt. Set up, and get after them by ourselves with out the guides.
