In states where it's legal, can you smoke it on a break at work?

Is it viewed like smoking a cigarette, or drinking alcohol?

Legally? Sure, you can if you want to.

It's still up to your employer to decide how they view it, and it will likely be quite some time before employers are ok with it. I mean, alcohol is legal and you can drink at work if you want, but most employers would probably frown upon throwing back a few shots on your lunch break.

True, but I mean legally. Can I stand on a street corner and smoke or is it like open container?

Sure. You can drink and take pain killers on a break as well. But I wouldn't recommend it.

I imagine that's a city by city thing depending on the laws of the community.

Is it legal though? Yes.

I'm 90% sure that there is no open container law in regards to marijuana in CO.

However, I believe washington's law was/is (not sure if it changed to fully legal yet) is it had to be on a private residence.

Interesting. I mean, personally, dip affects my mental state and I can do that at my desk if I wanted to.

You cannot smoke it outside private residences in CO. But its lightly enforced.

As for smoking at work, if you work at a coffee shop, bar or restaurant, you can be your arse most people are smoking on their break. their bosses DGAF

Nicotine and THC are not even close to the same thing at all. Not remotely or relatively close.

It appears you are correct according to Google. Can't be smoked on public property, beyond that local laws dictate any other restrictions.

You have to do it inside your house or at special venues. You technically can't just walk out back and smoke a J, although I really doubt a Denver police officer arrests you for it

From friends that lived there. Even before they passed the recreational law it was not taboo to see anyone blazing up on the street. Plain and simple. People there don't give a frick. And these new tests to see if you've been smoking within such a short time is a double edged sword. Bc on one hand I don't think a car wreck ever happened because soneone was too baked so just like dwi this will be the next money maker. The pros. Maybe more companies will look into this as their drug test when people apply for jobs now because I don't think its fair to deny someone a job because they blew like 6 joints a week prior.
