Why did it take so long to hire Steele?

I suspect he was a backup plan and Les swang and missed on someone that he was really waiting to hire.

Pendergast was probably the swing and miss. But that's pure speculation. No way to really know. Oh well. Get bebe and I'm fine.

You don't always get your top choices for personal and/or business reasons, but you have to try. As long as your second options understand your process along the way, it's all cool with the person being hired.

I think we swung and missed on a couple, I think others used us for raises, and some we determined were just not a good fit for the staff. Just my expectation based on how hirings usually go.
