Watched the first season. Thought it was a bit contrived with the over-the-top drama. Wife felt the same way and we bailed.

Just finished season 5. I have grown to hate a couple characters, mainly Sarah and her dumbass kids.

Zeke and Max are awesome

SPOILERS

Can't believe Julia slept with that teacher. I like Joel but he gave up on that hot piece of arse real easy. Hope they get back together in the last season. Dont' tell me

My wife watches this show.

I hate this show. Nothing even happens on it. It's an hour of trying to listen to multiple people speaking over each other.

Zeke needs to die.

Have watched the entire show from the beginning and was very sad to see it end last week. The finale was a satisfying ending to the show but we'll miss it. Coming from a very small family, I always wanted to be a Braverman. I know they argued a lot but in the end they always pulled together as a family.

It's got Craig T Nelson, that is always a plus.

Parenthood was one of the few drama series that I stuck with from start to finish. It got a bit over the top at some points, but I never felt it was contrived, and most of the storylines dealt with issues that many American families face on a daily basis. I come from a large family and the concept of "home" that was always central to the Bravermans is still very important to my family. One of my favorite things about the show was how they would all regularly get together for dinner; something my family has always done and still continues to do. I liked how the series literally came full circle and ended on the same baseball field that it began on. It was one of the most underrated shows on TV and it will be sorely missed by those of us who saw a bit of our family in the Braverman clan.

We are roughly 1/2 way through season 3 on Netflix and I've really enjoyed this show. Overly dramatic at times but I find myself liking most of the characters & Max's character is awesome.

wife loves this show. i never got into it.

FYI she called the ending "perfect". so you got that on the horizon...which is nice.

I've thought about watching this show. Isn't there a connection to FNL with writers or directors or something? That in and of itself may make me check it out.

Same writer. You'll see 1/2 of the FNL cast in there at various points too (Luke, Vince, Jess, Lyla, and a Street cameo in the finale). Just no Tyra
