What personnel would we use in a 3-4?

The answers to this question should help in answering your question.

The traditional 3-4 base in college is dead... everyone is running some variation of four down linemen, two LBs, and five DBs (with one of them comfortable playing in the box).

two of saban's more successful DC protégés -- Pruitt and muschamp -- aren't using this traditional 3-4 defense at all.

Valentine at NT
Gadchaux and Lacaouture at DE
Teuhema, Clak, Bower at OLB
Garrett and Beckwith (BONER ALERT) at ILB

secondary remains the same.

Big issue is death at ILB in that we don't have any

The base 3-4 is only used for the pro-style offenses like Arkansas. The rest of the time it varies between a 4-3 and 4-2-5.

Because if one of them die we would be screwed because we have no debt, so its important that we don't have any ILBs die.
