Where can I launch my kayak around Delacroix? I see Sweetwater Marina as a possibility..I've only fished Dularge, Cocodrie and Point aux chenes so this area would be new to me.

Any where off the side of the road between Reggio and Delacroix. There are 3 or 4 cuts between the 2 communities off the bayou that follows the HWY that get you in the marsh.

Is there enough room to safely park my car on the side of the road?

Well, you didn't say anything about parking a car.

Just kidding. I've always seen people just pulled off the side and fishing from the bank. I don't see why you couldn't just lock the doors and take off in a yak.

I don't remember the name, but there is a launch or two where you could pay a launch fee just to park in their lot I'd bet.

this. Last time I went we parked the truck on the side of the road across the cut that goes out to Lake Lery. Caught a couple of nice reds

ETA: Just looked at google earth and it looks like we launched a couple of cuts before you get to bayou lery

your only access to water between reggio and delacroix is going to be on the right side of the road. Unless you launch near the bridge in Reggio.

Stay away from Delacroix, there are no fish. Just ask Polar Pop.

I was going to be quiet and let him find out for himself.

Trying to decide if I want my 2015 revenge trip to be in Delacroix or a different spot.

Well I'm not heading up the OBKFT this year, since it sucked last year, even though that wasn't Delacroix's fault. I'll let someone else take the reins.
