Aldean tries way to hard to pretend that he's a badass.

Same with Gilbert. Dude actually has a video where he fights a "preppy" guy How that douche has a following is beyond me. His shite is garbage.

church wants to be the outlaw rocker dude so bad though. it comes off as incredibly cheesy

Waylon talked about it all the time...was that cheesy?...for Church I think it is more about what he was influenced by...who he grew up on...i.e. Waylon and company...also...Church is kind of older...he paid some dues and it took him awhile to break through...mainly cause he was a little too rock for mainstream country, but too country for anything else...dude is a good songwriter...and the glasses...he says are more about the lights on stage...and less about looking cool....he just keeps it up now cause its like a trademark thing or whatever...

I dig him...a lot...check on some of the stuff on his first and second albums...stuff they don't play on radio

Tyler Farr deserves an honorable mention for releasing Redneck Crazy (the stalker song). I mean, it has this line in it:

“Nah, he can’t amount to much by the look of that little truck
Well he wont be getting any sleep tonight”

I hate that guy and the entire premise of that song. Dude's girl leaves him for another guy, so his response is to sit in her driveway drinking beer, listening to Hank and watching the shadows of them banging? lulz

Brantley Gilbert is good as hell.

I bet you haven't heard any of his older stuff.

Them boys by him is hands down one of my favorite songs.

Them Boys - BG

Edit: I will agree his new album did not impress me like I thought it would, but he still has a couple good songs. Btw, Bottoms up sucks arse.

I guess it is a generation difference.

If it makes you feel any better King George and Alan Jackson are by far my favorite artists.

I'd say it's a demographic difference more than anything. I like texas-style southern country-rockish stuff like Reckless Kelly and Randy Rodgers. Guys like Luke Bryan, Aldean and Gilbert can't sing a song that doesn't involve a damn tailgate. Luke Bryan's three biggest hits reference catfish Do you listen to the lyrics? It's all the same garbage and yet there are people who eat it up. To each his own.

Oh I agree. The lyrics to 90% of "new" country is pure shite that is hard to listen to. Catfish by Luke Bryan will go down as my most hated song.

Try this guy, not big at all.

Luke Combs - Let the Moonshine

Raised on Alan Jackson, can't beat it.

Did you just link a video that starts off with a kid in a jacked up truck showing his square-toed boots and spit cup singing about moonshine? That song is every reason why bro-country is hated on so much.

Oh shite, no that's my kind of night, whatever one he says "catfish dinner" or whatever.
