I'm not here to be told "you'll gain it all back", "it doesn't work", etc..

I'm trying to figure out how to get any consultation fees lowered or waved. Is that possible?

I'm guessing you pay about $90/week. Is that a fair assumption?

Wrong time of year for all that. But I would suggest trying to get on as a referral for someone else. They will likely save money, maybe pass a few $$ your way. Medifast definitely works that way and costs about the same

Lean meats, veggies , salad and the EAS protein shakes from Walmart or SAMs will save you $. It's a rip off to do the consultation and buy their stuff. You can find the phases on the net if you search. Don't waste it on someone to tell you what to do. Had a few people at work do this lost a lot and saved.

Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, Peanut Butter, refried beans, and Eggs are all good sources of protein and are relatively cheap.

I have no idea what "Ideal Protein" is, but it appears it's a weight loss/diet consultation and in that case, save your money. There is nothing they can tell you that you can't find out for free.

Eat 1-1.5 grams of protein a day per your body weight. Cut out sugar. Eat complex carbs (brown rice, oatmeal, sweet potatos). Eat whole foods (lean proteins, veggies, fruits-but limit the fruits for weight loss). If you're going to eat simple carbs such as fruits or other sugars, do it as a pre or postworkout snack. Find out your calories needed in a day for weight loss and build a meal plan around those principles and calorie restrictions for you.

Boom. There it is, for free.

This is not going to happen with a provider of IP. I know a GI doctor who does this, and he doesn't drop a penny of his bills even to his "friends". The consultations is where they make their money...outside of the food mark-ups you can buy from them.

If you are exercising regularly, don't worry so much about everything being fat free, just limit your carbs. Don't be afraid to get a good portion of calories at breakfast time (3 eggs, whole wheat toast, banana). You will burn all of it by dinner time. Just take it easy at lunch time and don't overeat at dinner. Eat low calorie snacks between breakfast and lunch and dinner if you have to in order to avoid being starving at lunch and/or dinner time.

It will be hard this time of year. As one poster suggested, just do some searches and you can do the program yourself. You do not need their protein drinks and menu planner etc. People on the interwebs have already found protein drinks etc. with the same macronutrient profiles. You can also find the meal plans if you search.

Eat less. Move more.

You can pay me the consultation fee. I guaranteed results.
