We come not to bury Jones all over again for the tweet. He was a freshman, stuff happens. And the dude was rocking a 3.0 GPA as an OSU scholar-athlete at the time, so he was obviously going to classes whether he liked it or not.

We will all look back fondly on the epic nature of Cardale Jones' rise to greatness... this is just the cherry on top.

Although he worded it strangely, I agree with his point. I don't give a frick what their grades are. They are there to play sports and hopefully make it to the next level.

At LSU, third string QBs transfer before they have time to tweet, much less win a NC.

make them into a minor pro league and no association with schools. that would be fun.

This tweet is why I love Cardale Jones.

A legend was born that day.

I agree, but imagine what percentage of colleges would close.

Like their classes even matter. It is almost impossible to not finish above a 3.0 as an athlete at a big school.

Pretty soon they'll be asking for a bigger paycheck

not many. only a small percentage of schools turn a profit off their athletic programs and the majority goes to the athletic foundation. Almost all of the money made by the schools via sports is through donations from the athletic foundation.

Notwithstanding this eloquent tweet, it looks like he has a very Jamarcus-like throwing motion. He flicks the ball 50 yards on a rope. And he puts his head down and runs through LBs. He good.

Regular people do. Big school athletes go for athletics.

Hopefully this isn't a shock to you.
