Sorry don't know what this means.
There's the problem...you don't know what a good bite is.

Pocorello's
This is where I usually go when I want one. Never been to Anthonys. But will now that they opened not far from my work.
ETA: Forgot, Isabella's makes a pretty good one. Its on their homemade bread not muff. But its well worth the coin.

Eating one from Anthony's right now, and it's the best i've ever had anywhere.

Anthony's is better than Central in NO.

Last time I one at Central Grocery, it was disappointing. In Nola, I LOVE R&O's muff.

I'm genuinely surprised people have said anything other than Anthony's

Monjuni's has a pretty good one.
Usually something I make at home, so I don't buy them that often.

Central is vastly overpraised, but then again, I like mine hot.

Anthony's for sure.

It's the original so it gets the praise.
No doubt there are better meats and breads that can be used to make a muff. I like mine hot as well.

Easily, but that's probably because i prefer my muffelleta hot rather than cold.

Jason deli has a killer roast beef with gravy

Had theirs once a couple of years ago. If that's the best in BR, the BR food scene is worse than I imagined.
I ordered one at jasons years ago and promptly sent it back and ordered something else. It was the skimpiest, blandest muffaletta I have ever had. Pokey's and Anthony's are both top notch.

Anthony's is the best I've had in Baton Rouge, but still not very good. DiMartino's for me!

Every now and again when I get the urge for a muffaletta I get one from Maxwell's Market on Corporate since it is close to my office.
It's toasted and I think it is quite good. I might give Anthony's a go soon since it is also close to the office.

I've been wanting to try theirs. And I agree, they are better hot.
