They never would have won the championship . Ohio State deserved the 4th spot, unlike TCU, and now you have nothing to say about it. And no you aren't the 2nd best team either, despite what anyone tells you

I think the final 4 should have been

Oregon
Bama
OSU
TCU

it proved Bama didn't belong

FSU because they were undefeated and the defending champs

It sucks that a terrible FSU team kept out TCU. I understand how it works but in hindsight it sucks.

If we go to 8, we will have the exact same problem with the number 9 team

If you are using hindsight for one teams loss you have to use it for both. Bama belonged more than FSU.

I think 6 is the ideal number, with the top 2 teams getting a first round bye.

No we won't. The number 9 team has no business in the playoffs. An 8 team bracket is more about getting the 5 or so best teams in, plus a few more to even it out.

If it goes to 8 you can be assured that all the deserving teams get in as well as a couple sleepers. Plus more college football! Who doesn't want that?

I tend to agree with this. It also allows the conference champ from each of the so-called "power conferences" to theoretically earn a spot.

If we're looking at who did what in the playoffs, Oregon or FSU shouldn't have been there. At least bama didn't just roll over and take it up the arse from OSU.

what OSU did in the playoffs is irrelevant to whether TCU deserved to make it in. OSU winning shows a flaw in the system more than anything

TCU could have just as easily taken advantage of that flaw

Don't think so. Right now one power conference is guaranteed to be left out every year, which looks ridiculous in years like this where every conference produced a deserving candidate.

No they wouldn't. Post less and watch games more. tOSU has serious defensive talent on their roster. TCU does not and would have been thoroughly beat by both Bama and Oregon

TCU didn't play their way in since they blew a big lead to Baylor and thus didn't win the conference. At the end of the season though TCU was playing as well as anyone and probably would have had a good shot at the title.

You could also say that for Arkansas, I guess we should have given them a shot too?
