That is his problem. The longer he waits the less likely he lands it. Bobo is getting HC experience right now. GA fans are stoked about Pruitt. If he wants to be a HC he needs to give a serious look at changing scenery.

Smart would be one of the greatest unknowns that we could hire. The guy has been in Saban's shadow for 10 fricking years. He followed him from lsu to miami to Alabama.
I have no idea what kind of DC he would be. All of his big experience has been working for a guy that everyone knows runs the defense. How is he as a talent evaluator? How is he at fundamentals? How is he at development? I don't know because Saban is a defensive guy and you know he is involved in all of those things.

It must get very tiresome that when your D is good it it because Saban runs it and when it is bad it is all your fault.
this! I seriously doubt he upset because daddy nick doesn't give him enough hugs .... but if he ever wants to move up to be a big time College HC some day showing he can do good without saban is the next logical step.
