Web?
Big box store?
Safe retailer?

Delivered?
Picked up and moved yourself?

I'm buying one by the summer. Curious to know experiences. Did you hire safe movers, etc..

Thanks

I had mine delivered locally by a Liberty dealer in Baton Rouge. Mike Ward to be exact. Pick a company and see if they have a local dealer. As cliche as it sounds, your local dealer is much easier to deal with then the typical big box stores.

Bought my Liberty safe from Mike Ward's as well. They delivered the safe to my house and put it in its final spot in my house.

Bowies. Delivered by me.

Moved it on a $12 furniture dolly, no problem. Reminds me, I need to go bolt that thing down.

My old man got his from Tractor supply. He brought it home, and got it in the house using golf balls.

Tractor supply. Took me and 3 buddies to maneuver it through my house to the closet. It was a pain and had to fix some door trim.

Tractor Supply had a sale on a ~30 gun safe a few years ago. It has adequate shelving that I could take out if I wanted to put more guns in it. I didn't think we would ever fill it up but it's at max capacity.

ETA: As far as what they provide for gun slots its full but I can move shelving around & put more guns in it.

800 even from Tractor Supply. Cannon 48 gun safe. For the price I love it.
It's no better or worse than a $2000 Liberty.
If you think so, then try and get what's inside. Aint happening.

Uncle is getting ready to give me a bunch of his guns, need a safe. Dreading getting that thing in the house.. Besides a hand truck and dolly, whats the best way to moving it...

The golf ball thing is interesting...

And is everyone's bolted down...?

Always buy about twice as much safe as you think you'll need.

Sign up for the bass pro credit card and knock 10% off the purchase. (Save tax) Then I paid the card off and never used it again.

My buddy works for a gaming company so he had a truck with a tommy lift and a pool table dolly. 3 of us guys got it on the dolly and in the house. It's a 56 gun big arse safe. Go as big as you can fit in your house or afford. You won't be sorry.

I had no problem moving mine, it's only 700lbs though. I bought a furniture dolly rated for 1000lbs from Harbor Freight. Strapped it on and I could take it anywhere without much fuss.

before you buy, take the measurement of the top or bottom of the safe. Cut out a piece of card board to those mesurements. Lay the flat 48" x 25" for example cut out on the floor and slide it through all doors, hallways, and rooms to make sure it can fit and turn inot place. Fator in the hadlle and spinning combo as well if needed. You do not want to haul a 800 lb safe around just to find out the last turn won't fit.

Read this website before purchasing your safe. Most of the 'big name' safes you see are more fluff than anything.

For example, go to Bass Pro or wherever and look at the lip on the door of one of the shiny, high dollar safes. Looks thick right? It is probably just sheet metal folded over sheetrock / fireboard.
