You would dig Black Country Communion.
Glenn Hughes on vocal and bass (ex-Deep Purple)
Bonamassa on guitar
Jason Bonham on drums
Derick Sherinian (Dream Theatre) on keys

Led Zep style groove rock. You would prlly also dig Chickenfoot. Also Slash' last three albums have been solid.

I told you to listen to Hudson Bell years ago for the same reason! You disappoint me. :(

I thought that name sounded familiar. I must have forgot to check it out last time. I'll make sure I do this time.

Just listened to the slow burn and the midnight year. Liked both. Definitely see the BtS comparisons. Gonna check out that whole album on Spotify one day this week.

Naw....saw them open for The National last year and they were the suck. My wife listens to them all the time. Some of their stuff is decent but they have too much crap.

Welcome Home.

It's a shame that one song is most people's full exposure to Coheed. I'd recommend checking them out. The vocals are similar to Robert Plant in Zeppelin and the content can be too. LZ had a lot of fantasy built into their lyrics and Coheed does, as well.

This song gives me chills everytime I hear them play it live:

Also, as someone else mentioned, Gary Clark Jr is fantastic. He's drawn Hendrix and SRV comparisons.

I like Gary Clark Jr and I think he's a great artist, but he shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence with Hendrix, but especially SRV. GCJ leaves ALOT to be desired in the guitar playing department if you want to start comparing him to guitar greats.

Just a comparison. Not mine, either.

Clark isn't a fan of the comparison to Hendrix cause it's probably mostly racial and I think the SRV comparisons are merely due to the Texas connection.

Also, have you ever listened to Gregg Allmans solo album "Laid Back" ?
