Got an email today that makes me wonder what kind of doctors are doing this?

What is the OnCall Doctor Telemedicine Plan?
Simply put telemedicine is when a doctor uses a telephone to diagnose and treat a patient. Instead of enduring a crowded waiting room via an often hard-to-get appointment, patients consult with a physician in the comfort of their own home, office or hotel. If needed, the doctor phones in a prescription to a Pharmacy that’s convenient to the patient. OnCall Doctor will save you time and money!

I've used them. Through my job, it's free. They don't prescribe narcotics, but it's quite convenient for minor illnesses. I needed a refill on something, and it was much better than having to take time off work and waste half a day seeing a doctor.

If I had something more serious, I would make an appointment to see my doctor in person, though.
