Do you have confidence that Monty and Dell will surround Davis

with the talent needed to compete for a title?

Seems like our ceiling has been/is slightly better than a .500 team. At what point does Benson cut ties with both of them, build in new leadership and rebuild the roster?

Not at this point, no.

Monty absolutely needs to go. I'm leaning towards goodbye to Dell as well.

I definitely don't feel that way about Monty.

I don't mind Dell so much.

As an example, look at a team like the Suns. I don't think any unbiased person would argue that the Suns are a more talented team than the Pelicans, yet they are sitting at 4 games over .500 (at one point they were 6 games over .500), while the Pels haven't been 3 games over .500 all season.

In regards to Dell, can someone point to a GM who has built a legit contender. Then show me the specific moves they made and then show me where Dell has been in a position to make similar moves and has not.

Dell thought he could get Klay Thompson for Eric Gordon

I don't trust Monty. This team has talented enough players that we should be in the middle of West.

I think Demps has done a decent job(some hits some misses), but he has brought in talented players to surround Davis.

Dell bought the ingredients now up to Chef Monty to make the gumbo.

Competeting like memphis has done is probably the most realistic goal.

Winning a title in this league is extraordinarily hard.

To be fair (and this is not a knock on Memphis seeing as they are successful), they don't have Anthony Davis. I'd love to see what a Memphis, Chicago, San Antonio, Toronto could do with a talent like Davis. You have to set the bar higher when you have someone currently poised to become the best player in the NBA.

I don't think Monty and Dell are on the same page regarding personnel. Monty and Dell have practically said as much regarding their jobs being separate. I think they get bounced together, and I think it's unfortunate that Dell will essentially go down because he didn't cater to the uncaterable.

We lack strategy and consistency. .. both huge factors in a great coach

Monty's not GM bro..
Dell has been surrounding Davis with talent. Unless you consider Evans, Holiday, Anderson, and Asik not talented. In that case you're just wrong. They're a player away right now. Ceiling is 8th seed this year.
