What is your longest shot, kill and retrieve of a large game animal?

What is your luckiest kill?
Two for one kills? Point and shoot? etc?

Nothing too fancy for me. Longest so far has only been just over 140 yds.

Longest and luckiest.

Doe at 220 yards when I was about 8. Hit through both back legs at the hocks. Pops finished it off.

38 yards for bow. Probably not a lot longer than that with gun considering where I used to hunt.

I've connected on a couple few nannies in the 300 yard range. Most impressive thing I've ever done though is killed a coon who was 40 ft up an oak tree with a long neck Bud Light bottle.

Luckiest was a free handed shot on an aoudad running away from me while standing in the bed of a truck. Wasn't exactly sure what it was when I shot it, just knew it wasn't a whitetail and it was on our property.

Longest is probably a javelina around 250 yards.

first deer i shot was a yearling running at full speed towards me at 173 yards. i had missed the first shot at 250 yards and the other two does bailed off of the pipeline. poor yearling took off right for me.

I killed a squirrel with a golf ball, must've been about 200 yards away from the tee box.

I killed one of my grandmothers chickens with a worm burner, but it was only about 50 yds

Longest deer, probably only about 170 yards.

Luckiest...guessing my first rabbit. I was about 10 and it was hauling arse across a field and I smoked it with my .410.

Another lucky one:

3 outta 3 coons

Killed a canada goose playing golf. It was the day that my first born was due but my wife told me to go. I was a nervous wreck and played terrible. On one hole about 100yds in front of the tee box a couple of geese were in the fairway. I hit a worm burner and caught the bigger one right in the head and he fell over and started flopping.

Farthest shot was between 325-350yds with my .257 wby. Friend wanted me to come out to his place and shoot a doe but wanted to see how far away we could get one.

I don't step em off, but I know of two over 300 or right at. And a bow kill on an 8 that was much further than I ever should have tried. I put my bottom pin(don't remember what it was, lets say 35) somewhere on his back, and hit him as low as one can get hit and still die.

Killed one at 80 yards Sat, but it was small enough to look 200 out.

Nutra-cat when i was in 8th grade with a dead stick javelin style. Hit it in the base of the skull from about 20 feet. Hwy 28 at the diversion canal in front of Menard High.

I think somewhere around 500 at a 200lb basket rack 13pt in the marsh. No rangefinder because I was walking around in the marsh, but it was barely visible. Only saw movement and figured out what it was through the scope. Sucked balls dragging him back, but I was young and dumb with a bunch of dumber friends

Would I do it again? Absolutely not

Longest Rifle 345 yds (stepped off by my pops). Doe standing at the end of a long straight gravel road. Hit in base of neck and piled up right there. Shot from passenger's seat propped on side mirror of a 1983 Dodge pickup.

Longest bow 45 yds. Doe in a field. Hit her unbelievably perfect and she ran 30yds and piled up. This was on a place we had strict instructions to kill as many does as possible. I killed 3 that day.

Luckiest kill was a flock of doves that came by me when I was about 17. First shot I killed 4 dead and another 3 were crippled. Ran them down and stomped each of them. Still the luckiest shot. I was trying to kill 2 in one shot. Ended up with 7.

I've killed many a limit of wood ducks in one shot on the water.

One time in between Woodville and Gillsburg I was driving with 2 other guys in the truck. From the driver's seat, while driving, throwing over the cab, I hit something like 9/15 signs with beer bottles. Still my greatest athletic achievement.

last week dropped an 8 walking across a powerline at 300. Didn't really have time to aim, just picked up and shot and hit him in the spine.

Best retrieve was 500+ yds on a greenhead that was heart shot, he flapped a cpl of times then set his wings and glided downwind. It was a long a** swim for the dog, he marked the fall and need a back or 2 but I was thankful I didn’t have to jump in the pirogue for a looooonnngg paddle. Shot was 30-40 yds and if it was a better shot we wouldn’t need the long retrieve.
I have had dogs do longer field retrieves, especially chasing wounded a wounded goose but that swim on just a mark to get a bird he couldn’t smell was impressive.

Same dog was doing a long retrieve (200+ yds) on a teal we thought was dead, just as he went to grab the bird it “woke” up and flew off, dog was po’d
