We're trying to get a feel for everyone's opinion on platform. It's between Fantrax and CBS. I've listed the main differences below. Please let us know what your preference is.

Pro CBS:

Live Scoring is the best.
Familiarity
Interface (Some may debate this)

Con CBS:

More costly ($150)
Good database, but still will need to create unlisted players
Lineups lock with first game
Poor customer service
Can't trade draft picks
Limited app

Pro Fantrax:

Cheaper ($70)
Lineup locks per player
Can trade draft picks
Unlimited database (has some Cuban players when they're only embryos).
Great customer service - Will apply suggestions
Customization
Improved cell app, but still clunky

Con Fantrax:

Less familiarity
Live scoring is decent but not as good as CBS (nothing is IMO).
Some people do not like interface

Fantrax because they have player by player lineup locks, listen to customer request and aren't CBS.

I miss CBS. I've never used FIGtrax.

10 seems like a lot. That's 200 minor leaguers out of the pool. How do the teams that are bad off the start get better?

I like Fantrax I just hate the way everything is set up.

I think I still prefer CBS.

I think 8 minor league spots would be better. It still gives you about 5 position players and 3 pitchers.

The results of the vote were overwhelmingly 10.

If you suck off the bat im not sure how smaller minor leagues roster helps you out.

Im in a league where 180 minor leaguers are rostered, and there are still decent prospects out there.

Trade for prospects.
Trade for better players with the prospects they have.
Trade draft picks to acquire pieces.

Any and all of those work.

That's the challenge. Everyone will have an equal opportunity to grab players to start off. A dyansty can be a slow moving beast. If a team misses on a bunch of players, they would need to trade players for young talent, draft wisely, or find the upcoming players that improve with age and become productive fantasy players. There will always be the competing/rebuilding cycles for teams, but having MLB and ML players separated keeps teams from completely throwing their season. The only way that happens is if the owner is a complete dipshit and we don't have any of those. I also have no doubts there will be beaucoup turnover due to trading as is usually the case in TD leagues.

you just have a better shot at unearthing an impact player

What's the yearly draft going to be like? can you draft any player that is not one a team? or just rookies? how many rounds?

2 rounds.
reverse order of finish.
no snake.

Anyone drafted that same year IRL or signed internationally is eligible.

Add/drops are allowed all off season, so theres no need to have current major leaguers in the draft pool. If you want them, go pick em up!

Add/Drops will be year-round (except for during the playoffs). There will be a rookie redraft for players from the previous years Rule 4 draft and new FAs that float in on a raft (See Abreu) (2 rounds - option to pass).
