Anyone been? Trashy? Looking for non-trashy vacation opportunities for 2 adults, a 17 year old, a 10 year old and a 5 year old.

Not trashy IMO.
I would think that most 17 year olds would get bored quick.

Its really not for her as much as the other two. She's going to college this fall so this is probably our last vacation as 5. We'll find something focused on her as well.

Not necessarily trashy, in fact pretty expensive from what I've seen. Seems like the worst breeding ground for disease ever -- it's just a hot, humid, enclosure with 4,000 kids running around.

I would think the rates are too expensive to draw in the trashy crowds.

Took my 4 year old in April. We enjoyed it. He was too short to ride the better rides. The MagicQuest was pretty cool.
It was a good 3 day get-away. The prices keep the riff raff out. Clientele was not bad at all.

We went last year for the first time with my sister in law's family. I wouldn't go for more than 2 days. It is fun, especially for the kids. Gets crowded inside, but it is ok. There is a large pool outside. Can get kinda loud inside.
You could also consider just going to New Braunfels and go to Schliterbahn or float the river.

Its like $250 a night. We'd probably do two nights there and two nights in a Hilton or something. Not sure even the younger kids could spend four days doing a water park.

We've been with the kiddos. We went on a random fall weekend and the crowds were manageable. The clientele were not really that bad, I would put them a step above what you would randomly find at Disney.
Agree with others, the 17 year old may get bored, but there is ample shopping around the Grapevine location so that may help.

Went last summer and a long weekend is plenty enough. Just be prepared for the little ones to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Food is decent, alcohol prices aren't too bad but it's a good time for sure.
