Peyton Very Non-Committal About Return

Denver Post
Man, I know it's just after a loss where he looked bad, but where there is smoke... there very may be fire.
quote:
On whether he'll be back next year:
"Yeah, I guess I can't just give that simple answer. I'm processing it. So I can't say that. I could not say that."
Same queston, to Dave Logan of 850 KOA:
"That's kind of what I've said all along. But I can't answer every what-if circumstance. What if you're not as healthy? What if certain coaches leave? I can't answer every what-if situation. I think I'll have to take some time to see how I feel, see how I feel physically."

He should retire. He's done.

Well it's been the case all year, to be fair.
It was sad to watch him out there and he should just hang it up. He still had a great season. His goal now is the SB but if he comes back it will be more of the same in Dec/Jan next year.

anyone judging a player like Mannings return during a post game like this is a moron

I think he's retiring but right after a tough loss is a bad time to be asking a dude pushing 40 if he's ready to start the grind all over again.

Probably so. Sucks I wanted to see him win another Super Bowl.

Tom Brady, you are less than a year younger than Manning and your team just loss to the Colts, are you coming back next year?
Yes.

Yes.
Peyton Manning can't win. Tom Brady is presumed to even retire better than him.

He said the same thing last year

Sounding like he's going to hang the cleats. Would be cool if he went to Buffalo for a year or two since they need a decent QB, but he would have to learn a completely new offense with new coordinators/coaches/etc. and that would take its toll on him. It amazes me how much of a Jekyll/Hyde type player he is in the reg. season/post season respectively.

I would pay money to see him and Rex Ryan discuss a game plan. Literally, like just fork over George Washington's for that shite.

I think he takes a couple of months off, starts working again after the draft, but at a much slower rate than he used to. I think he throws very little leading up to the season, and sort of works his timing with he receivers and things like that in live game action during the regular season.
I say he gives it one more year and tries to keep his arm full strength for December and January.

It would definitely be very interesting. Not often do you pair up an offensive general at the QB position with the wits of a defensive mastermind in RR. Oh well, a man can dream though I suppose

What are his habits during the team offseason program/training camp?
If he's running laps and taking all the snaps, that does seem kind of weird. It seems that at this stage of his career and using his offense, that he can just watch film all offseason and take 10% of the snaps and be just fine.

I just don't want another Farve saga.

Can anyone see him coach one day?
