That blog sucked, no attempt to even make a compelling argument.

The problem here isn't replay, it's an absurd rule that is so unclear that even the refs misapply it.

The fact that Dallas wins this game if it's played in 2005 shows just how absurd that rule is, even though it wasn't even relevant to the play in question. It needs to be done away with.

The rule was correctly applied. But your tears are delicious.

Wait what? Dallas couldn't stop Green Bay from driving down the field when Green Bay was conceding 2 of its 3 downs running in a stacked box to kill the clock. They were somehow gonna do it when Green Bay would use 4 downs and no passing constraints?

Tony Romo is just a bad qb. Don't blame the rules. Just threw it up for grabs on 4th down without going through his progressions.

Rule was not correctly applied. Care to explain how the process wasn't complete after 3 feet and a lunge for the endzone?? (With control the entire time).

He never had possession and the ball popped out after hitting the ground. It's been explained a million times. Choosing to ignore it makes you either a Dallas homer, or ignorant.

Yeah, it's a bummer and I hate Dallas, but I give you no sympathy as I had to watch my teams last great shot at a likely Super Bowl ruined from the frick Rule in New England.

Like the frick rule, this rule will also be changed, but it doesn't change anything before it unfortunately.

If you truly think he never had possession then you are

Doesn't matter because the rule book says extending the ball is a football move which negates the rule.

Possession, knee/leg down, elbow down, lunging for goal line.

Sucks, but whatever. It's bad for the game of football, period.

He made have had possession at one point, correct.

The problem is he did not maintain possession

Yes but the act of falling negates the three steps/elbow argument. Then it becomes whether he made a football move.

He did, so I'm not sure what your point is? The rule book specifically lists a stretch as a football move.
