Why can't we get that excitement at games from players and fans. I know they are playing Duke but watching the last few days of hoops this happens most places.

last night's crowd was the best we've had all year, but there is no excitement in the place.

i partly blame whoever is in charge of putting on the show in there. i've always loved the band, but they don't need to be playing as much as they do at a basketball game. basketball games are all about getting the crowd excited. playing songs after big runs when the opposing coach has to call a TO is what basketball is all about, not the first down cheer.

College basketball is king in North Carolina. Throw in an undefeated, in-state rival, and there you go.

i totally get that, but it doesn't mean we have to resort to football band songs at basketball games. Look at a place like the KFC Yum center where lousiville plays. it's such a great atmosphere cause the fans get energized by music that's played.

Well, in his never ending money grab, Alleva moved the student section to a 50 seat section behind the basket, so they have little to no effect on the game. LSU is on their third coach in the last 8 years. In year three of JJ, the team makes the same mistakes as year one, and he has yet to make the tourney. What is there to get excited about? If I want to watch a really talented team with bad coaching, I'll stick to LSU football.
