What's with cleats these days?

I could hardly find black cleats in the store.
Guess I'm an old fart but I really don't want orange or yellow cleats.

It's what all the players wear now. I assume it's part of their shoe deals. People notice neon yellow cleats before black or team colored cleats.
It is an odd trend that has become the norm. When I was a kid, you either got black or team colored in order to be cool.

I had the same damn problem when trying to pick up some new running shoes this past summer. I don't get it.

Get with the times grandpa! LULZ. just kidding. I hear ya with all that fancy nonsensical colors out there. When I see predominantly black cleats I have to do a double take these days. Even you go to Dicks Sporting Goods, you can hardly find black running shoes.

What I bought. They had those and a pair of lottos that fit my foot veery poorly. And that was it.

You can still get some Copas. Nike Premiers fit me better and that's what I use currently.

They just re-released them in limited quantities but they're probably all gone now. You might be able to find them on eBay for an absurd price, though.

Its great and it was my go-to until I tried the Premiers. It has all the pros of the Copa and none of the cons (sloppy fit, heavy, unresponsive).

As a general rule I stay away from Nike when buying shoes but I'm sure there are always exceptions.

I wouldn't buy Nike running shoes but Nike is so far ahead of the game when it comes to soccer. Adidas was lost for about 5 years but it seems like they're getting their shite together now. Pumas new Powercat was maybe the best release of 2014 but they lag behind in most boot categories IMO.

10-4. I ordered the copas but they had to ship them from another store. So I haven't paid for them yet. I may go get the premier and see how I like it.

The Copas fit super weird BTW. I wear a 9-9.5 in running shoes, 8.5-9 in most soccer cleat;s but a 7.5 in Copas and honestly a 7 wouldn't be too too small.

Taking the track spike model. Gotta have something that stands out so people notice you. It's almost to the point where people with black or white spikes stand out more than people with flashy colors or mix and match (like my spikes were senior year of high school) in track.
