UGA just hired him as our new OL coach.

From Monroe, played at LSU, and has been at McNeese St since 2012.

Any thoughts positive or negative on him as a coaching hire?

Like able guy, was able to recruit a couple out of state guys to a garbage school, not a lot of big time experience.

Loves silent films. His favorite color is rainbow. Spends his weekends picking up litter,to make the world a better place.

Kidding. He's a total badass. He actually died 20 years ago, but death doesn't have the courage to tell him.He once made a happy meal cry.

Great hire!

Played OG at LSU. If I am not mistaken, he is a very bright young man. He will make a good coach. I hope he comes home to LSU one day.

I can tell you I know his dad very well. Rob was Nickys go to guy at Alabama all the coaches would call Rob up to get help on things Nick wanted done on the OL when Nick first got to Bama.

I know that when Nick played golf Rob was his golfing buddy

Rob I believe interviewed last year for the OL job at LSU.

Leaves the toilet seat down when he takes a leak

Leaves his dirty dishes in the sink with food on them

Drinks milk from carton

Eats peanut butter from the jar with his fingers

Known for double dipping his chip

Played guard on a good team a few years ago. Was an honor student, smart. Tried to coach at LSU, didn't, went to a smaller school to get started. I lived about 2 blocks from his dad's store on North 4th street in Monroe years ago. He was a BIG kid and friendly. You got a good young coach, he's serious, knows what he's doing.

I have known him since the 2nd grade. We went to high school together and spent some vacation time recently. I cannot say enough nice things about him. Hes the ultimate professional, hard worker, motivator, people person. Played for saban at lsu and was one of sabans original hires at bama. Coaches and players alike will love him. Total class act.

I have known Rob since he was born to Bobby and Cynthia, and Bobby joking about his newborn being hung like a "stud field mouse".

Seriously, he has had a good work ethic from his days in high school on up. He has been a good student of the game. I would have preferred to have seen the kid get a chance as OL coach at LSU, but Les wanted more experience - his mistake.

All of that said, Rob will make you proud. He's a good hire.

He has a knack for spotting a bargain. His feet sweat profusely, even in winter. His favorite food is pizza, but he hates pepperoni. When it rains, he likes to sleep with the windows open. He loves comedies and action films.
