Just got a job offer there and it's a pretty decent job but that's quite the move. Figured I would ask and see if any of you had any advice or know how of the place.

I went in December one year and it was the shittiest weather I've ever experienced. 30's and 40's with rain the entire week. I hear it's beautiful during the spring and summer months though.

All of the real Tiger fans went up there for the Washington game. I was only there for 4 days but I thought it was a VERY cool city.

great city

the summers are amazing

the fall/winter/spring suck because of the cloud cover

it doesn't rain as much as people think, just kinda mists a lot

expensive to live in the city

Not going to lie, completely forgot about that. Still, the weather is really kind of underwhelming, not too crazy about rain

Beautiful city & area, best & loudest stadium in the NFL, bad traffic, decent food, great beer & really rude people.

Also, people will exaggerate about the weather being miserable and gloomy. It isn't that bad. Seattle is a phenomenal city to live in.

its not rain like here

its just mists/drizzles everyday in the fall/winter

its not the rain that gets to people, its the cloud cover

It rains more in Louisiana than Seattle. It's really overstated, but it's cloudy a lot.

I've been in the Spring and really enjoyed it. It rained all but one day I was there, but its nothing like the thunderstorms we get here. Fun city with lots to do and easy to get around downtown on foot.

Only negative I saw was the really high level of homeless people wandering around downtown. Most of them babbling on about the CIA or govt.

Seattle is fcking awesome. I've been there 5 times.
Just make damn sure you've researched the housing market to cover your cost of living with the money you are being offered.
Housing is stupid expensive up there.

I've been a few times. I didn't mind the weather all that much and I'm someone who can't stand cold gloomy weather.
