Danny Ainge has informed Brandan Wright that he's on the trading block, and he should expect to be with another team.
Wright just doesn't fit in Boston, and a trade away from the crowded five-big rotation could only be seen as a positive for Wright. However, he'll likely be destined for a backup role wherever he lands, so his upside will be limited. Wright isn't really worth owning as the last guy to come off the bench for the Celtics, but he'll be a name to watch at the trade deadline. Stay tuned. Jan 9 - 10:06 AM

Don't know what it will take to get him but He'd be a big time upgrade over our backup bigs.

Considering he was the biggest piece in the Rondo deal, it probably takes more than we have to give.

I feel like they have almost as many 1st round picks as Philly has 2nd rounders.

I'd love to have him, but would rather Wilson Chandler and our assets are limited.

Not only are they limited, guys like Wright being available reduces the value of guys like Ajinca and Withey.

To their credit withey/ajinca have played fairly well when given minutes.

I could see them being good filler. You never have enough frontcourt depth.

Withey is terrible. Ajinca has been decent on offense.

Wright is a PF, not a center, and he's not any good either.

Salmons/Rivers/Ryno for Green/Wright, gotta do two separate trades.

Might as well just claim Jeff Adrien

Wright is light in the pants. He cannot body up to centers, anyway

Withey has been productive and actually looked good when he's played this year. His 19.8 PER and 14/10 per 36 numbers aren't flukes, they just aren't really representative of who he'd be with more minutes. He's still too weak to play very often, but if he's going up against an average backup big he's looked effective.

yeah I mean he only has the second highest PER on the team behind AD.

orly? Is that why he plays the majority of his minutes at center and plays well? Seems like you're just an opinion based babbling moron with no facts to back up any of your stupid claims.

Boston is nearing an agreement to send Jeff Green to Memphis for Tayshaun Prince and a first-round pick, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Wasn't that the issue for the Pels. He plays well at the 4, but not well at the 5.
