A buddy invited me to hunt this weekend and this is where he goes.

Hows it been? Birds there? What kinds?

It will be cold as penguin balls this weekend too.

What side does your buddy hunt on 80, the dump, or heaven forbid, Wham?

The name is Mecca, referring to our status as the true culinary center of the state, but we are the hunting Mecca too.

I had friends down the road in Start hammer the mallards today and Monday in timber. Good luck and get there early...very early.

Can't get on Sage till 0400 or you will feel the wrath of Greenjeans.

These Mallards killed in Start, were they shot on Franklin's? I hunted there on Turkey Day and it was dead.

I used to park an Olds 98 at the gate of Ouachita WMA at 3:30-3:45 am pretty regularly when all I could afford to drive was a hand-me-down and all I could afford to hunt was public.

And what the hell does it hurt if they get in there at 1 am vs 4 am?

Wait just a damn minute here! Wham was a paradise for me during the 3 years of my sophomore year in college. Except the caustic water and the other stuff.

Shouldn't mola people be tired enough of duck commander that the dc types don't exist up there?

man I wish they were . I think everybody up here thinks they are call making duck hunting extraordinares . Sage has always been crowded with sky blasters but since that dumbass show it has gotten ridiculous . Everybody is a professional so it seems

Your going to the dump side. There is now plenty of H20 over there and a few birds but they really haven't found it yet. If it wasn't a rainy weekend I would say it would be on over there.

It's only crowded for the people that can't get away from the crowds either with a boat with a motor less than 10 horses or a pirogue.
