Just started the Fargo TV show - one question at the moment

Why doesn't anyone have a cell phone? It is set in 2006.

Oh ok...I am only 2 episodes in. It just struck me as odd. It seemed like they were going out of their way to use other instruments of communication.

I def. remember Gus and Molly both using cell phones at times. Keep in mind that even today in rural ND, cell coverage may not be complete.
