Makes me think Alleva is trying to take the cheap route and not pay a chavis type salary to the new dc. LSU fricked.

He's a Northeast guy. Could we have got him here for 1.5 million a year? Maybe. Is he really worth that? I'm not so sure. The guys getting that type of money have been at it for much longer, like Chavis, Muschamp, etc.

The guy had top 25 defenses at Vanderbilt and had Penn state as the number 2 defense in the country in his first season there. I'd say he's pretty well proven. You put up those kind of numbers and rankings at Vanderbilt and a school with the sanctions of penn state then you're pretty impressive. Would have been nice to see him work with LSU talent.
