I'm not a lawyer or a criminal but I've been inside...

Caddo
Bossier
Red River
De Soto
Webster
Claiborne
Bienville
Lincoln
Union
Nachitoches
Rapides
Vernon
Allen
Beauregard
Evangeline
Avoyelles
Catahoula
Concordia
Franklin &
East Baton Rouge <--- That one actually was for allegedly being a criminal.

Which was the nicest and which was the shittiest?

In my opinion. The nicest has to be the new one built in Bienville Parish or Bossier Parish. The shittiest is a toss up between Red River Parish and Catahoula Parish. I'd have to give the nod to Red River being the worst. The Native American artifact collection in Catahoula Parish Courthouse is it's only redeeming feature.

That said, I have not been to them all...

Which ones have you visited?

ETA: This may help...

I saw the other guy mention this one too. My imagination is running wild. Is it shitty as I imagine, or is it new and refurbished since the storm?

No law abiding non-lawyer would be in that many courthouses.

The Alexandria courthouse uses trustees as elevator operators.

On my way right now to the Red River courthouse.

I do a good bit of title opinion and abstracting in my line of work. This is just my LA list. I've also worked in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Been to most of the North and Northeast Texas courthouses - the old Dallas courthouse is my favorite of those, with Decatur a close second.

Both. I've worked O&G and as a commercial and residential abstractor for real estate transactions.

I'm really good at finding the best places to eat in the Parish seat.
