Last day in Xcalak Mexico, temps have been 80 degrees each day. Heading north and will probably get a room in Cancun before we fly home tomorrow.

I have on 5 pair of pants and 5 tops. I hate the cold but will endure it. I haven't killed a deer out here this season. Morning hunt only and hope it ends quickly.

Wind chill was showing 6 when I woke up. Really doesn't feel too bad with 2 pair of long johns and insulated coveralls.

Our southern deer do nit like these bitter cold mornings. I hunted last year every morning of those super cold ones where it was single digits and didn't see a deer before 10am.

My grandpaw used to say "deer don't eat ice. Let it warm up ". He may have just wanted to stay in bed with maw maw though.
