I see so many post how they hate Alleva and that he is a bean counter , also I hear he doesn't stand up to the sec office and just a bunch of all around negative post about him....

I'm not saying it isn't true but where does this come from , is their anything factual to back up the stuff that people post .....

Is it just a hard job and it's hard to please the fan base , I remember when skip was Ad how everyone was bitching about the job he was doing and is a living LSU legend ....

Well the fact that your football program, which is your biggest money maker, is currently without a defensive coordinator, which has been the staple of your program the last decade, because you let your proven DC go to a division rival is a pretty bad lick

I don't like how he handled the Duke situation.. basically punishing those boys because of some whores lies.. when they were absolutely innocent.

Then I don't like how he apologizes like a bitch when no other SEC school would be issuing apologies.. or how he gets rids of certain enjoyable songs.

Because Alleva doesnt stand up for whats good for LSU. He never once voiced his opinion on the sec bridge schedule that fricked lsu and let bama, in 2012 get 4 sec west home games while everyone else got 3(a&m, got 2 home games that year)go 7 years without playing UGA and 4 seasons where bama didnt play(regular season)the 1st,2nd, or 3rd place east finisher.
He didnt say shite when the sec office fricked LSU on bowl selection
He also severely botched the Chavis extension. He sent his assistants to Chavis with a take it or leave it contract and refused to meet with chavis one on one.

He's made nothing but dumb decisions in his time here. The softball embarassment, the Trent Johnson hire, paying a women's basketball coach almost a million, giving Johnny jones a raise and extension as a reward for winning an but game....guy has been an embarassment.

See Duke Lacrosse scandal.

Seriously surprised the guy's not sweeping halls in some grade school somewhere right now.

That was thought to be a great hire at the time.

It's closer to $500k than it is to 1$M. And isn't everyone accusing him of being cheap?

I dont know about a raise...cost of living, I guess...but Johnny seems like he's got things going in the right direction.

Then he would have left prior to the bowl game, IMO.

Maybe it's just me, but I'll never care enough about softball to be embarrassed in any way about it. But I'm guessing you're talking about the Bama coach's decision to come then crawfish the frick out on us? Didn't the coach we ended up getting take them to the WCWS a couple times?

I just remember thinking when they hired him "this was the best LSU could do?"

But to his credit, I can't help but thinking that some of his hires, I might of made myself.
Trent Johnson and Nikki Caldwell seemed like great hires at the time.

He hired one of the best women's softball coaches only for the wormy bastard to go right back to his knot hole.

Alleva then turned around and made a pretty damn good hire given the circumstances in that situation.

His next BB hire may in fact pan out if we make the tourney this year. But no one will give him credit for that because they will say he was pressured into it.

But I think JJ was a bigger gamble as a hire because that would be two hires in a major sport he botched. So I will give him credit for taking a chance on jones if he turned out to be a success because he could of just said "screw y'all" I'm gonna hire this other guy from * blank*

So, I can't fault him for everything because he has made some solid hires at the time of the hires.

He has botched some shite on the fringe like the traffic situation at games, the pay to park, tailgate, and shite like that.

Its $900 grand a year for a non revenue sport. Football pays the bills for womens basketball. If you dont pay for football the program falls behind and therefore the entire athletic department will suffer. Joe is picking the wrong fight like the dumbass he is.
