I never want my AD making an assistant coach hire over the head coach. That's an overbearing AD.

I know and I'm sorry but I don't think it can be said enough.
I've never believed in "the decline" but if he is allowed to continue as AD then the decline will most assuredly be real.

You're right the way he has played this he definitely won't be making ANY hire. You can tell the way Miles reacted to chief leaving that this was all above his head. Fire Alleva and once he's out the door, Miles should be right behind him. The football program needs an overhaul now.

What has he done to instill your confidence? All I've seen is a man who won't get off money in the midst of one of his school's most crucial hours.
I haven't seen him stand up for our traditions. I haven't seen him do anything but cower at the SEC office and berate fans while keeping us from attaining quality and necessary additions to the staff.
What has he done to make us successful? Change my mind. I beg you.

If you cant tell thats whats going on I dont know what to say. Alleva has screwed this hire up from the get go. To start with he locked in all the assistants before the DC. Now obviously there is something big behind the scenes with not one but two big names interviewing and then running for their lives. Lets be honest here. They took the interview knowing Miles and the program. There is something contractual that is sending them running for the hills.

THats alot of speculation.
Its known by most that head coaches hire their assistants. Chavis was offered 1.3 mil by LSU. Its reasonable to think the next DC could be offered that much. If we can't find a capable one for 1.3, then thats on your head coach.

I'm not saying miles shouldn't be on the hot seat but if he was the issue these guys would've never thrown their name in the pot to begin with. There is something greater at work here
