So, Is The Pen Mightier Than The Sword?

After the carnage today in Paris, I'm questioning the wisdom of those words. MacArthur did too.....

Take a look at the culture that uses the pen and the culture that uses the sword.

The terrorists certainly think so. If they didn't perceive those cartoonists as a significant threat, they wouldn't have made the effort to kill them.

I was hoping this was an Arse thread, and there was going to be this hilarious video of a guy trying to write a check to buy his way out of a bad situation, but then he got cut in half by a sword.
