I've had 12 (or maybe 16, not sure) bean soup cooking in the crock pot all day. With a ham bone.

I've got to haul arse to camp to prep pipes. I assume whatever hooligans are there will have something going. If not whiskey and ramen noodles will suffice

Trying to decide between chili and tamales, gumbo or vegetable beef soup, all in the freezer for just this type of Winter weather.

Microwave if I don't know early enough that I'm going to eat it. Usually on 40% power. If I do know, I just put it in the sink with water so that it doesn't cover it. Finish it in the microwave, covered in plastic wrap with some holes. Doesn't take long. I freeze in quart containers or smaller in case I want to thaw less than 2 quarts or I'm giving a single serving to someone.

Thanks Otis, pretty much just the elite, dead cow pheaux cooks have them, though.
