Does Pelicans Talk have an Admin?

I know it's at the bottom of the totem pole as far as board go, but threads like these are a daily occurrence. Read through it and check out how fast it goes to shite

A lot of posters are there to talk ball, and yet we have to sort through these types of threads on a daily basis. There is actually some good content and discussion coming through the board. It would be a top notch forum if we could get some moderation on the derailed threads. At least anchor them or something.

I don't see any in the Request Admin list for that board. Can you use the RA button for post that need attention?

I've RA'd a few times before. We could do it more, but really you would be getting constant RAs. Boom picks his spots but he constantly derails threads. Constantly. Its our own fault for all the people that respond to his little game.
I've really gotten sick of it but I assume that nothing will ever happen.
If someone like Gyno or TigerinATL was made an admin that would be an ideal situation.
But if you want us to RA every time Boom derails a thread, I'd be happy to.

He needs to be told to dig himself. I don't know how his post quality is on the other boards, but on the PT it's at least 90% thread derailing pissing match/rival fan trolling posts. That might be fine on the days we play the Rockets, but it seems like he does it at least once a week if not more.

If I could ban someone from the PT only for a specific amount of time I'd do it, but if it's a sitewide ban I'd be pretty reluctant to swing the ban hammer.

Agreed. I don't mind him on other boards, but his constant trolling/derailment of PT has to stop.

Ok I am not a fan of Basketball and when I go to the Pels talk to check the Ra's I see that Boom has been Ra'd. I read what he posted and it seems like a valid discussion.
I check to see who Ra'ed the post to find that the poster who RA'ed boom has then posted the same gif in said thread more than 10 times. Hmm who derailed the thread? I check and find that this same poster has also made numerous Ra's for what seems like worthless crap and no else has.
It appears to me as a Boom is possibly a fan of another team and is posting on Pels talk and not many Ra his posts. Is this the case?

Boom is not 100% responsible, but he is 100% at the center of every Pelicans thread that turns into a Rockets thread, which is much more than there should be on a Pelicans board. I started the thread in question and it was supposed to be about trade options between New Orleans and Denver, but over half the posts are about the Houston. To put it in non basketball terms, Boom is the equivalent of a Falcons fan allowed to run wild on the Saints Talk. He brings out the worst in us and thoroughly enjoys watching our board burn. He doesn't need to be banned from TD, but he is not a good match for Pelicans Talk. The relevant posts he makes are not worth the inevitable and frequent derailing that accompany them.
